Krutidev Marathi Fonts

Krutidev 010 supports all Devanagari characters needed for Marathi typing. No separate Marathi font needed.

One Font for Hindi and Marathi

Krutidev 010 covers the complete Devanagari character set used by both Hindi and Marathi. The font includes all consonants (व्यंजन), vowels (स्वर), matras (मात्राएं), conjuncts (संयुक्ताक्षर), and special characters for both languages.

The key character that differentiates Marathi from Hindi is (retroflex La). Krutidev maps this to Shift+g (capital G). This character appears in common Marathi words like माळ (garland), बाळ (child), and कोळसा (coal). The font handles it without any special configuration.

Marathi publications sometimes use stylistic font variants for headings and display text. Krutidev Display 490, Krutidev Wide 040, and Krutidev Bold 011 are all compatible with Marathi text and use the same keyboard layout.
