Remington GAIL Layout
The Remington GAIL layout places characters by typing frequency. If you know Krutidev, most keys are in the same position. Normal state shows half-forms (with halant), Shift state shows full consonants.
InScript Layout
The InScript layout groups characters by the Devanagari alphabet. Government-standard, consistent across all Indian languages.
Which Layout Should You Choose?

How to Enable Mangal Keyboard in Windows
- Open Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region
- Click "Add a language" if Hindi is not listed
- Select "हिन्दी (Hindi)" and install
- Click on Hindi in your language list, then click "Language options"
- Under Keyboards, click "Add a keyboard"
- Choose "Hindi Traditional INSCRIPT" or look for Remington GAIL in the list
- Press Win+Space to switch between English and Hindi keyboard
